This was an intense episode

Spoiler

But I'm upset that Angel died (pretty sure she did) , that was an awesome female villain

I don't know, I think we might see her one last time. You're right though, this episode was pretty intense. When Trudy left with the van I wasn't surprised. I was hoping she would try and run the guy down.

reply

It had a little bit of a True Romance feel to that episode..

reply

It kind of did. Good call.

Especially because Jimmi Simpson bears such a resemblance to Christian Slater.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Bingo

reply

I know. And I think Jimmi Simpson is stellar as Soldier. He's evil incarnate, yet he cracks me up at the same time. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching Trudy kick Poco's ass.

reply

mgordonb ... I completely agree that Jimmi Simpson rocked it in this first season. But he always is good. The ending of Fincher's Zodiac when Simpson identifies Zodiac's picture is wicked.

the show has slowly been ramped up and up
the writer is known for his contributions to the "splatterpunk" genre, i don't know if his Hap and Leonard series is part of that, but it makes me want to read them,
i surprised this show isn't doing well, sure it isn't rectify, but its damn awesome

reply

And she ended up running him down after all. I was pretty sure she wasn't going to leave them there.
