Season 3?

Has anyone heard anything?

I know that Larry David puts out seasons of Curb whenever he wants to, with years in between, but that's an entirely different situation. Larry is filthy rich and works when he wants to. Amy and Ed are quite obviously not anywhere close to being huge stars with busy schedules (although they should be, imo). For season 2 to be delayed as long as it was, and then 'burned off' with double episodes, it points to only one thing- the network gave up on it.

I don't know the history of hires at BBC America, but, based on the network's faith in the show petering out somewhere during early 2015, I can just about guarantee you that one of the higher ups was championing the show, and this person most likely left the network sometime that year. Once they were gone, the new guy/gal wanted nothing to do with this show, but, because it was already filmed, they reluctantly burned it off- eventually.

I don't know any of this for certain, but networks cancel shows in this feeble, cowardly, drawn out manner all the time. Are you familiar with the dating practice of ghosting? This is the network equivalent. No communications, no promotions, just air the episodes you've got and be done with it. It's a little like renewing a show and then moving it to the Friday night death slot. Technically, it's a renewal, but if you make sure the show can't maintain it's viewers, you guarantee it's demise.

In other words, I don't know all the ins and outs at BBC America/which executive killed it, but I do know television well enough to recognize when a show has been killed off, and this show is, without any doubt, done. Kaput. Sorry.

Ed and Amy are incredibly talented, and, most likely, are not very expensive, so someone from another network, if they had half a clue, they'd scoop them up. Billy Eichner has done a fair share of network hopping and Ed and Amy are just as funny. Unfortunately, the incredibly long hiatus killed a great deal of momentum and most likely hurt any chance for the show to picked up by someone else. But I wouldn't rule it out completely. Truly talented people will always find work.

Thank you for your intuitive insights.

Well, if this show is no more, I'd certainly watch these two in any future endeavors.
