Nobody?

Granted, I know that this is on Cartoon Network, but I still heard about this show and I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Just from the commercials that I've seen, it actually seems like it will be really interesting. For some reason, the commercial that I just saw a few minutes ago is actually one of the best commercials for a TV show that I think I've ever seen. Not that it was crazily dramatic or anything, but for some reason, I just enjoyed it a lot because of the narrator, the background music, the art style, etc.

Looking forward to this one. Nobody else seems to know about it or care, though!

I just watched the first two chapters. It was creepy and fun. Not amazing, but close to it.

EDIT: Watched chapters 3 and 4. Now I'm totally won over. Really looking forward to the rest of the chapters.

I watched the entire thing on itunes, it is so so beautiful, it's perfect. It's got everything, especially the last few ones, they are some of the very finest tv episodes I've ever seen.
I loved it so much, I don't really cry at things much but I did at this. I didn't know much about it before watching so does anyone know if that's it or is there gonna be a second series??
It seems very self-contained and like a mini-series in the way it wraps up but I would LOVE there to be another season maybe following different characters or something. It has gotta win some/a lot of awards, it's too beautiful in every aspect not to.

I keep getting this feeling that she isn't telling the brothers everything about where they are heading. But, I could be wrong.

I believe it was marketed as a mini-series, so I don't think there will be any more.

But I hope it leads to more mini-series.

Just started watching this (the whole thing is available on iTunes) and so far I am loving it. I found the wolf creature in the first chapter quite scary.

Oh. So the wolf was creepy.

Just wait until you see the *beep* beast

My 7yo and I have been waiting for it ever since we saw the commercials. But so far, I've been underwhelmed with it. chapter 3 was probably the best of the four I've seen... we're watching chapter 5 right now...

But my son is loving it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion albeit with good reasoning. The show is very episodic (similar to Alice in Wonderland) in its adventures, but still carries on detailing the main characters and their plights. It's usually best to start from the beginning, first episode to see the clues that gather further into the show later. You watch from the middle of a series and the pacing and events occurring would be hold no ground, weight, or interest.

*I noticed though the brothers are going through timely Americana fairy, nursery, and folk tales that have become warped. Though the last episodes really do fill in a lot of the puzzle of how they got there, and of the true beast of the woods.

Finished this morning, and I gotta say I loved it for its uniqueness on the network. That is not say I'm not enjoying other output on Cartoon Network, just that OTGW felt like a breath of fresh air. It was first and foremost a dramatic character piece adventure, as opposed to the many wacky comedies surrounding it on the schedule. And while humour was included, it was mostly there, in an awkward kind of presentation, to keep the brothers and viewers calm from all the surrounding danger.

And did I mention that the animation was stunning? It felt like a more detailed Adventure Time.

There were a few flaws, but incredibly minor. Episode 3 had little happen (with a very random ending) and I felt disappointed with the buildup and quick disposal of Adelaide. But thinking back on the latter... it does now feel like a comment on the everyday forces we believe will solve our problems instantly but end up doing the opposite.

So in conclusion, a bold and successful experiment for CN and my many thanks for Patrick McHale and his cast and crew for bringing us some refreshing storytelling in Western animation.

Watch them all in one night. I was surprised by how dark it turned out to be, but humorous at the same time. Overall I give it a 10/10. If it ever comes out on DVD, I will be sure to pick up a copy.
