Too much teen angst

Every kid was super depressing with exception of billy and he had the most to be mad over with the daily bullying. I just got tired of the constant bitchin about having a terrible middle class life

I imagine this incarnation of Power Rangers as what you would get if you took the main characters from The Breakfast Club and turned them into a team of superheroes. So this is basically The Breakfast Club meets a Michael Bay Transformers movie. The original Power Rangers series was in itself, like Saved by the Bell, meets Captain Planet and the Planeteers, meets Super Senti.

I mean no disrespect to teenagers...but meet some teenagers. They're angsty! They've just started to realized life sucks.

I'm guessing you don't know any teenagers and don't remember being one.

They did a pretty good job showing the trouble these kids had, but also how they could put aside their individual problems to come together as a team. That was actually a turning point in the movie. It would not have been much of a movie if they were all happy little perfect teen angels
