How big of a role does Michael have in the movie?

Is there going to be any importance of having him in the film?

there is a 'hybrid michael' character but different actor. maybe flashbacks, or something else. the daughter so far does not seem liek she'll be in it but still remains part of the saga, so maybe michael too.

It's possible that they intentionally keep Eve "around" and don't resolve her story arc in this movie. They might be keeping her path in life a mystery for now because it would lend itself easily for future spin-offs. It wouldn't be the best of choices IMO, but I can see why. So many questions January can't come fast enough!

for god's sake everyone is mentioning in multiple threads the return of the character, so the story is obviously far from abandoned

He can't have much of a role if they're only showing him as a hybrid and played by a different actor, unless they're implying he'll be like William and unable to control himself, which would suck.

i kind of expected markus to hybridize william so he could change back and control himself. Many of us thought that the giant lycan was michael WILLIAMized, but that didn't happen either. They may just rip off awakening again and have him get shot at a distance.

I hope not. The concept of a lycan/vampire hybrid was a big draw for the two first movies as well as Kate herself. I hope we at least get to see him in action like the first two. His fight final fight against William was bad ass in Underworld Evolution. Not to mention I hate when they don't tie up loose ends. That's why I couldn't really get into the last Underworld movie because their was no consistency. Also If you're gonna bring in new characters at least bring in those that the audience can get into and not be cannon fodder. Even though they are dead, characters like Lucian, Raze, Victor, Marcus, and even Kraven still get props from the fans. These new characters need to step it up. Marius looks like he could be a good new addition to the franchise. Hopefully they don't waste his potential.

the whole idea of a hybrid was one fo the biggest excitments for me. I don't know if they'll ever do it justice. The characters they get need to be compelling as well as not waste their potential.
