What's going on in this still?

i think part of the vamp coven (lead by the lead female villain) betrays Selene (since i think in the trailer everyone, Lycan & Vamp alike, want Selene's special blood) and they do seem to either drain some of her blood (we see metal(?) blood draining rods in Selene's neck) or they are about to but are interrupted from doing it completely. i assume this scene you mention is after(?) Semira (female villain vamp) has extracted some of Selene's blood. David w/ an assist from his father rescue Selene from that situation/the Coven Vamp mansion/compound and head North to the Nordic vamp temple/compound?

From what it looks like its David and his father Thomas saving Selene after her blood is drained by Semira. You can see Thomas cutting his hand to draw some blood to keep Selene alive long enough to make it to the Northern Coven.
