I saw this yesterday (finally!) and I was entertained but not overly impressed. Mainly my issues are with the directing, this director knows nothing about slow motion usage. Also some of the fight choreography seemed off. However I still enjoyed it quite a bit, probably as much as Awakening (I scored them the same) but I'd probably re-watch this one over more than I would Awakening.

See I thought that the director bought some new takes to the franchise and did a lot more story wise and development than Awakening. I think that's impressive as this has stalled since Evolution. I do think it suffers from not enough budget and Selene

Selene was the great drive of the movie, imo, as well as Thomas and the message he left to his son, which proves to be overly important in the end.

Overall, this movie did great things story wise, in a much better way than Awakening, but it does suffer from rushed shots in several scenes –mostly in the beginning of the movie, and specially in the final fight with Marius.

If the editing would have been slightly better, this movie would be and utterly amazing action movie. Instead, I think it is quite a great Underworld movie and a great action movie with some flaws that do not elevate it from a 7/ or 7,5/10.
