Resi suffers same UK release fate as Underworld

So I put on here that this film was getting next to no UK screenings and now Screen Gems gave copied this for Resident Evil.

It's gotten a lot more promo though. Premieres around the world (maybe not in the UK, not sure) and big displays at the cinema. I saw a display for RE when I went to see UW but didn't even see a poster or anything for UW.

You're right. I just checked the listing for my local (i.e. closest) cinema and it won't be playing there, just like "Blood Wars" didn't. Bloody hell. What are Sony playing at with these movies? I mean, "R.E" has had more substantial promo than "Blood Wars" got but even so...

Maybe they figured they're for the fans at this point, so they didn't need to bother. Who knows? (I'm not actually a fan of either franchise and honestly only watched Blood Wars for one reason.) I still don't get why they're promoting RE so much more when they already knew that it was the last one, but there was still talk of another UW, so you'd think they'd want that to do well. Maybe because of the RE video game. I don't know, but I feel bad for the people involved with UW.

I did check my local cinema that is a bit smaller but in the city centre, and RE is playing there, whereas UW did not. Both played at the larger one that's a bit out of the city centre, but it does look like RE will probably play at more cinemas.
