Better than Awakening?

I will start off by saying that I enjoyed the first and third entries in the series the most. The original was just that, original, and had a blank slate to work with. Rise of the Lycans, while a prequel, encompassed arguably the most interesting plotline derived from the first movie and brought both Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy together again for another rumble. I didn't even mind the lack of Kate Beckinsale.

I enjoyed Evolution although it had a distinctly different flavour from the other two, focusing more on hybrids.

However, when I went to watch Awakening, I just found myself bored. The characters weren't interesting, there was a distinct lack of Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy or any other interesting characters. For those who have seen Blood Wars, is it more of a return to form?

personally i loved AWAKENING as an action film. as an UNDERWORLD movie it was lacking due to the tissue paper thin storyline. the general consensus on this board seems to be that BLOOD WARS is indeed better than awakening. i definitely liked BW and there were some twists/surprises i didn't see coming. if you liked the first 2 UW films i think you will like BW.

Blood wars is a lot like part 2 so if u like part 2 then u will like blood wars

Definitely better than Awakening, but not as good as the first 3 imo.
It was definitely a mixed bag, of really cool, and pretty dumb.

It was an improvement over awakening.

No. Awakening was better and made sense, blood wars was all over the place but still solid

Have to agree blood wars was better than awakening, really didn't like the human element in awakening

They both suck but awakening was a bit worse,

Blood Wars is better than Awakening. Except for a small story element or two, you can actually skip Awakening all together. This film mostly builds off the continuity of the first films.
