Awesome acting. Dissapointment.

I can't remember being this disappointed by a film. The promise is good but badly executed. Feels like a bad Dario argento film with good acting. Really a bad film.

Indeed. Big budget, great acting, sexploitation film, like the 70s sexploitation films, but with better financing. Verhoeven belongs to that mentality, it's a trend through several of his films.

I agree. This is the kind of thing Sharon Stone or Demi Moore might have done back in the 80's with Verhoven directing. Isabelle Huppert is terrific as always, but this movie is just a glorified potboiler.

The movie was much better than I expected. In addition to the great acting, I enjoyed the mysteries that kept unfolding, and I was surprised to find out who the rapist was.

I don't understand your reaction. I was totally riveted by this movie. I guess you need a dull and boring film to think it's great (Moonlight, Manchester by the Sea, etc.)
