Kinda concerned about this being a standalone movie.

I hardly like any anime and even less manga so I guess it is ironc that I strongly like the whole manga of Bakuman. I was actually hoping that it would become a live-action TV show that would run for five years at least and would be subtitled and become popular outside of the "otaku" crowd n the U.S. and would be available on a mainstream TV network or provider and/or streaming service.

And would be a really compelling, long-term intimate comedy-drama, that would appeal to Americans with little interest in the subject matter, kind of like how Breaking Bad captivated people who ordinarily would not watch shows about drugs, or shows with dark/illegal premises such as Dexter, Weeds, or The Sopranos.

Live-action Bakuman seems like a binge-worthy live-action TV show that would encourage people to connect with the characters and willingly read subtitles.

So, is this going to be a standalone movie? What do you think it will cover? An abbreviation of the whole series, or will the movie just stop barely a few volumes into the story and be open-ended about how their careers go?

have you watch this movie, its good. But for me who really adore the manga, i think that they should make sequel, for sure I want them to conclude Mashiro and Azuki's dream. Damn it ends so fast!

THRILLER IS MY FOOD!
