ET did not kill Atari

When Atari Pac Man came out and wasn't anywhere near as good as the arcade version, everyone realized that the 2600 was not going to come close to providing a good home alternative of hit arcade games. Atari Defender sucked also. All my friends had Atari, and all of them couldn't care less about ET by December 1982. The writing had been on the wall for all of 1982 and you needed Colecovision if you wanted decent home versions of arcade games.
