Iv'e seen a few bad movies but this one was BAD.

The plot was so unrealistic that it was almost funny. Would 99% of the guards at a prison really just go home because some inmate promised them $100,000 to leave work that day so he could escape? So on the off chance that A. He actually escapes and B. really goes to his bank and sends out checks for $100,000 to each guard (does he have their names and addresses written down or something?)and C. The justice system is gonna let them keep that money? - its redonkulas! This is just one of many unbelievable things that happen in this movie

I loved the part where the warden tells her daughter to lock herself in her office because the door is specially reinforced but when they walk past it its just a door with a doorknob on it, which the wardens retarded boss has no problem walking through.

Too bad MST3K got cancelled - would be a perfect movie for them.

I thought the movie was amazing and the idea was very clever I liked this movie alot that I would watch it a few times.

Thanks. Nice to know you would watch the movie you starred in over and over again, but the plain truth is this movie is just BAD. It's not even your fault; it's the lazy writing and LAZY filmmaking that is becoming more the norm these days.

It's not just the guards all carrying toy guns, the guards who are strangely carrying firearms inside the prison walls (which is NEVER acceptable in any prison on earth) or the incongruity of staff who would suddenly ALL walk off the job for the possible offer of a bribe that comes to less than they would earn in about 10 months ... it's writers who think the term "basic research" means wikipedia, and directors who don't take the time to worry about even the larger details of the story, let alone the smaller ones.

If the writers and filmmakers are too lazy to do basic research, why should I invest two hours of my life on their film.

You need a life.

Also what world do yu live in where prison guards make $100,000 in 10 months?

You need a life.
Seriously? Is that the best you could come up with?

I am doing quite well, thank you but when I need advice from some kid who does nothing but comment on internet forums about topics he knows nothing about, I will let you know.

My son is a senior Corrections Officer with ten years service. As a California CO3, he makes a base salary of $68,000 per year. Last year, with overtime, he cleared $121,000.

It doesn't even look like a movie. Diane Neal must have looked for Dick Wolf to come on the set to save the day any time. Alas judging for the result on screen he didn't.

I agree with you as I also will be watching it again!! Sometimes lifetime has some gems and I would consider this one one of them!!

It was a Lifetime movie. Your expectations were too high.

Besides, as bad as it was, Jodelle Ferland is easy to look at.

Maybe, but I have seen lots of Lifetime movies - one of our favorite pastimes in our family - but this was truly a new low. The production values were strictly low-budget. It wasn't just the cheap sets and the obvious toy guns they were using that bothered me; it is the sheer laziness of the filmmakers to not even attempt to get anything right. I seriously cannot believe that there wasn't ONE SINGLE PERSON in the cast or crew who knew the slightest thing about how to hold a gun properly.

All they had to do was Google ONE photo of a real armed prison guard, but they were too lazy to do even that. It seems a small thing but when I see all the actors - including the leads - running around with their fingers in the trigger guards like some morons, it takes me right out of the story. If they can't invest ten seconds in getting these details correct, why should I invest 2 hours of my time to watch it. I think not.

A lot of Lifetime movies are filmed by runaway productions in other countries and it seems they always cheap out on everything. Perhaps it is time to bring these films back to Cali. At least we wouldn't make those dumb mistakes.
