Most awkward line in the move

"2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate - your boobies - your - your - your boobies!"

WTF?

reply

"What's a troll?"

reply

Haha! How could she not know what a troll is?

reply

Eh, that was just to explain to anyone who might not know (I'm sure there are one or two of them out there) what one was.

Although I would've had someone laugh at her over not knowing.

reply

[deleted]

Right!?! She is using a torrent and later in mentions IP addresses lol

reply

Shes also using a MAC, so she is tech illiterate.

reply

That was funny.

I'm like, well I doubt people are taking their grandparents to see this. And if you had to explain that well, you'd have to explain EVERYTHING else going on in the movie.

Very stupid dialogue to think that anybody watching the movie would NOT know, especially the damn characters!!!

I wanted her dead in that moment.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language

reply

Also, all the stuff with the knife.

Since when are knives sexy? Since when is threatening to cut your girlfriend's clothes off if she doesn't strip sexy?

reply

Jess telling Val she could suck her fu#%$ng dick and piss off.

 .....SHE has a dick?!?

reply

She doesn't ACTUALLY have a dick. But guys say it to people all the time and a lot of girls have started saying it just for the impact.

reply

Yeah I understand that but it was still awakward coming out the mouth of a female.

reply

yes I agree much less akward going into a mouth of a female

reply

Yeah, it is a bit weird, but I have heard girls saying it.

"What's a troll?"

Even the delivery came off as unnatural.

If we wanted to insult you, we would have called you "Tubby Mushroomhead Man".

reply

^ this. it was indeed cringeworthy...

reply

every time one of the characters said "byeeeeeeee"

reply

That was actually funny. The weirdest was "what is a troll?" based on her delivery.

A bit of the old ultraviolence...

reply

I feel like almost everyone should know what a troll is by now. Unless they don't have access to Internet and/or are a senior citizen I don't see how they couldn't know.

reply

When I arrived on the Net, I was in my late 50s. I learned quickly what it was like to be "flamed" and what a "troll" is. I don't know a lot about the Net even after a number of years, but those were fast lessons.

"Trolling" reminded me immediately of this quotation:
"I've spent little enough time in your world, Professor, and I don't pretend to be a deep thinker, but what I see is this: Trolls are everywhere. Different shapes and sizes, calling themselves by different names, but Trolls nonetheless. They like to tear things down, make everything the same, the way they like it. They run their ship by fear and bluster." ~ Voyage of the Unicorn (2001 TV miniseries)

WOW! I'm glad that I don't have a bunch of people yelling at me on my screen! I don't know what that is, but it would be a pain!
