The club wasn't up for sale. Cynthia was outbid on Ralph's house, which she wanted. So she swapped the club for the house: the Indians who had outbid her for the house now own the club, though she will continue to manage it. And she will live with Ralph and his wife, who had nothing to do with the deal. It looked like Madeline was on her way to running off with Cecil, but that got left up in the air since the series had to wrap up fast (no third season). As for Sooni's wedding, it may have been quick because it was the end of the series. On the other hand, her parents wanted her to marry the Parsi man the next day, so maybe she felt she had to move fast. Hope that helps.
