Why were there no subtitles in "Parallel Monsters"?

I don't speak Spanish.

I know, right? Me and my brother were watching that segment for a few minutes, and then my brother just said, "Uh, should we turn on the subtitles?"

There weren't. I had to turn them on in Netflix, then turn them back off when the English part came back.

Oh, you are talking about the streaming? I thought you meant the disc. I didn't have to set up anything for that and they came on at the appropriate time.

Mine came right on my tablet while I was watching. However, the subtitles don't really explain anything so they're not necessary. There's no talk about anything scientific, what kind of worlds they come from or why they're so different. No talk about why the main characters switch dimensions other than curiosity. You probably learned as much as I did with the subtitles.

It's still distracting not to have the subtitles because you'll wonder if you're missing anything important in the conversation. I'd be different if there wasn't a lot of dialogue but there's a ton so not having subtitles ruins the film. I had to turn them on in Netflix.

reply

Um, because some people DO speak Spanish. Yes, you had to turn them on!
