Early in the film, Zev is wheeled in to the dining room of his facility in pajamas. Ain actual fact, assisted loving and nursing care facilities make a point of not allowing residents to go outside their rooms in anything except normal clothes--never pajamas.

There is no rule that says they cannot go to the dining room in their pajamas. It's preferred patients get dressed but patient happiness and satisfaction always comes first!
