Too stupid for words... but I'll try

Another flick in which the trailer is better than the movie.

Sooooooo stupid it beggars belief. Who would want to talk to a dead loved one for a few minutes without being able to see him/her or have any contact, especially if it's your small child fearful of the netherworld he's in? And digging up the corpse and cremating it to achieve this miracle? Why is the ability to have a five minute chat with the deceased intrinsically evil (and why does the mother waste time saying she's so sorry? The kid would probably know that by now)?

Break the rules and all these "Grudge/Ring" people come back to hound you and your beloved little boy turns into an evil monster hell-bent on killing you and your family. If it wasn't the little boy who returned who was behind the door to begin with? And the end... who told the husband/father about the "miracle" and why would he do the same thing that caused his wife to die? Why is she staring at her hands forever while he's screaming he has to see her -- she knows what will happen but can't make it up 4 steps to keep him from opening the door in time?

And couldn't they get hair conditioner in India? The little girl's hair is screaming for an anti-frizzies treatment...

The mother watching them dig up her sons body and then her running over to look was one of many poorly thought out parts.
