Wake Wood...?

Anybody think this sounds just like Wake Wood from a few years back...? A good movie in its own right.

reply

Yeah it sounds exactly like Wake Wood...

reply

Exactly what I thought when I first read it, except Wake Wood fell under the radar imo..

Wake Wood is a wonderful little Irish horror..it's very original...the only thing good about this film was the setting. I've never seen an Indian based horror.

Wakewood was better done imo. The parents in Wakewood came off as sympathetic whereas the mother in this was just a whiny bytch. I know she had lost her son but there was a daughter there that needed her too

reply

I think it's unfair to call a parent that has lost a child a "whiny bytch." No one ever knows how they will react to something like this, and it's not a case of "I have three apples and I lost one. Oh well." All of her psyche could be wrapped up in her first child. This is why so many marriages end after the death of a child. It's not that they don't love each other, but one is able to move on and one isn't. It's human nature.

reply

Still think she was a whiny bytch. It's not unfair of me to feel a certain way.

reply

And you totally missed my point....mislaid apple SMH. I meant she was being selfish for not looking after her daughter. Her daughter was going to feel like her mother only cared about the boy

reply

Exactly! Thank you! I've just finished watching and for the whole time, I was trying to remember a movie called something with "Wood" that had a very similar story 😁
