God that was so distracting throughout the whole movie...

Obviously that's not her fault. It's her hair. The makeup people are going to fix it the way they want to... and she wouldn't have any say in it.

reply

you know that's her natural look, right?

reply

In every foto there are makeup people at work.

reply

maybe she needs hot oil treatment, or conditioner?

reply

I think she's adorable, she's a wonderful little actress. You do realise some people have naturally curly hair some people have straight hair...

reply

that's not the point. her hair looked a mess

Her hair is like that. Kinda like Juno Temple. I think it looks great on both of them.

reply

Really sweet comment!

Her hair is nappy because obviously she has some African blood. Which doesn't really make her the best choice for the role since the parents are Caucasian.

reply

And the ignorance begins. The little girl is Caucasian and her hair is just brittle and dry - which is normal for Caucasians who don't treat their hair. African blood is not the cause here.

Actually I wont be purprised if One of her grandparents or great grandparents are Black. My daughter best friend is al most the same, blond and gray/Green eyes, her skin is white. Her mother told me that her daughter grandmother is Black Portuguese.
What a beautiful combination.
Her hair however was same as the girl but less matted. I suppose that the kind of look they are going for.

reply

she doesn't look black at all

I know of some pale white girls with blonde hair & blue eyes & they have a black father (white mother). You don't have to "look black" to have black heritage.

reply

that still doesn't make them black. if you look white you are treated as though you are white, if you look black you are treated as though you are black.
