Can it be?

A watchable zombie flick, is that still possible? The trailer looks promising, not spectacular, but worth a possible look. Will see soon enough.

Keep us posted. I came here looking for a review before grabbing it.

This was a royal mess of a FF film, setting the zombie part aside for a bit. On a technical aspect this was one of the poorest efforts I've seen as of late. I have a very strong tolerance for camerawork especially the shaky kind, but what they did here was not only painful to the senses it strained the living sh!t out of my eyes and I now have a headache(definitely don't watch in the dark). The bulk of the film is spent in the dark switching between two cameras as they swing wildly in incoherent directions with constant flashes between a moving light source on something sort of visible but before your eyes adjust to see what is in front of them it switches to another angle and so on and so on. There is over 40 minutes made up purely of out of focus flashing images inside of what is supposed to be an old war tunnel while a guy is yelling nonstop in the most annoying fashion, a very poor attempt at creating suspense.

As for the zombies, pathetic, nonsensical bodies moving around here and there, zero gore and not even a close up of the actual undead, very minimal make-up hidden by shooting in the dark out of focus. On one level, it was better than the ever so trendy homemade no budget crap that ends up on the internet every other day, but not by much. The trailer looked like this was potentially good, but no such luck.

You obviously havent seen The Mirror it was even worse , utter drivel of a found footage movie.

I hate found footage nonsense it went out with Blair Witch and should have stayed out of the room!

Argh, yes I've had the misfortune of viewing that debacle, a true 1/10 from me. I've seen basically every found footage horror/sci-fi film that has ever been made except for a trio of Turkish films with the headline name of Dabbe:(I did actually find one but no english subs:(

Since you hate FF flicks I'll leave you a link to my found footage watched list, there are many more to hate, but some may actually really creep you out, just sort it or not:

http://www.imdb.com/list/ls060385905/ 136 films currently to detest and pour your utter disgust at the terrible quality of any one of em, f'k it right?

It's not drawing many views so I think people are getting really sick of em. I'm really burned out on the FF sub-genre as a whole. 

Now we'll see dozens of Hardcare Henry flicks all done in POV, yey...................... no not really.

There have only been one or two that were passable.

Nice list must work my way through some of those but we seem to agree on most - I did like the Rec series.

Chernobyl Diaries and Frankensteins army i would rate higher but were they really found footage in style? - maybe in storyline but not in the quality of the film and the style of shooting?

I loved Dyatlov pass its one of my faves ; apart from having Gemma Atkinson in it grrrrrrrrrrrr but i wouldnt describe that as found footage either!
Maybe i dont know what im talking about but i just find found footage to be low quality film , shaky camera , bad acting.

They may call it found footage but most of it couldnt be filmed as found footage with some of the angles and techniques used in some of the films!

One you have missed off your list which was almost as bad as the mirror is The Devil Complex - Living in Slovakia I have been to the forest in Romania and its exactly how it is described , we ended up lost , blotchy skin and no mobile reception , not only that but our compass didnt work so there is something in the rumours about the Hoia Baciu being haunted or i think perhaps magnetic anomalies in the rock , some say aliens - great idea , could have been a great horror but it was utterly without merit - better than the mirror but not by much!

Hoping to do Chernobyl and Poenari castle this year!
If you want a real scare then come to Slovakia and visit Cachtice castle - ive never been anywhere in the world that put the scare on me like that devils castle! If i put my video from last year up on youtube we could call that found footage!

Yea I actually do have The Devil Complex in the list it was the last film I added, I gave it a 2/10 for the effort. I know what you mean about the actual found footage by definition and I know there are quite a few films that utilize both hand cam and shots from impossible angles(Wer did that in a scene or two). Also I've collaborated with a few other people's lists and added films so they may not be FF but just have an element of FF. I noticed many films have been using a mix of the two and I actually like it that way even if it does take you out of the "real" feel, but instead it makes for a much easier watch.

All in all I could probably come up with a strong top 10 out of the subgenre to recommend to people on good conscious, The first time I watched Troll Hunter I had no idea what was coming, just a really strange film that ended up amazing the sh!t out of me, but I have seen it a few more times as it's been playing on network cable stations and it holds up less and less. Not to take away of that first viewing of it though it was amazing, idk maybe some films are just meant to be seen once, like The Blair Witch I've only seen that one time even still and doubt I'll revisit the film. All that crying into the cam, night vision cam isn't exactly entertaining when you know the result.

Began watching it, but the annoying, obnoxious characters put me off it after just a few minutes...

Worst camerawork I've seen in a found footage movie
