Anyone notice that the Taliban had cars that drove on the right-hand side passenger side was on the left-hand side just like in the USA?

Most of the world, including Afghanistan, drives on the right side of the road. This isn't the case of the USA being outliers like, say, the metric system. In this case the USA fits in with the majority of the world.Iit is the Brits and a few others that are the outliers driving on the left.

In the US the driver is on the left side, passenger on the right.
