They ran out of money when..,

It seemed like they ran out of story writing funds when it came to summoning the spirit of Moira and making her go away. I mean ZERO imagination in "I wish they were all dead" and "I don't need you anymore".
It would have been better off to eliminate the whole Moira spirit ghost storyline and this just to have been about the "school" or whatever it was in the dessert being run by messed up people who were in it for the money and abused the kids for their own amusement with no super natural stuff.

i haven't seen it yet, but i guess yeah - more of less that kind of story line, since the supernatural elements of this movie just didn't seem as interesting as the whole power dynamic and backstories of the people at the place..

Considering that the script is the first thing to be completed and is usually one of the cheapest thing studios pay for, I doubt it they ran out of funds.

The writers just had no idea where to go with the character of Moira. It was obvious as the movie was nearing the end.

No proof taht Moira is actually supernatural. There's plenty of allusion that suggests she was metaphor of guilt and anger that everybody was hiding. So that being said, the movie WAS about what you wanted it to be about. Everybody was crazy. The school staff did their jobs to try to bury their guilt and psychotic impulses to abuse, and the clients at the program were hurt by other people
