Why do people hate this film? One of my favorite horror movies

I LOVED it. Thought it was a creative premise with great acting and FANTASTIC character development with a lot of complex themes on shame and teenage angst and the different outlets that teenagers put that shame and angst into. The romance was outstanding and the killer was really original. The characterizations have a lot of depth and nuance to them; almost NONE of them are tropes/archetypes and they feel much more like real people than the usual slasher fare. So refreshing. It's got a nice fast pace, a good soundtrack and some excellent atmosphere.

So what's with all the hate?

Have no idea why people bash this movie in the same breath that they praise It Follows. (Really? You guys thought It Follows was better than this?) Some Kind Of Hate is VASTLY superior in EVERY aspect.
