I watch this show with my Grandmother, who is pretty comfortably within the age range of the average CBS viewer. For viewers of this age, I found it offensive, and quickly scrambled to fast forward past the gore.

How old is your granny? The original Alien came out 37 years ago. It's been shown on basic cable with this scene uncut. You imply that you act as her censor. Are you sure that is necessary? I'm getting a kind of Norman Bates vibe from you.
