Is this some kind of hoax?

I'm assuming the producers created some IMDb accounts to give the film its stunningly high rating, but still, I refuse to believe that any adult would launch a marketing campaign of such grotesque incompetence. The poster and trailer look like something a ten-year-old new to Powerpoint and the old version of Moviemaker would whip up in thirty seconds. Even the most low-budget films have more professionalism than this. Something tells me that this is a gag, that someone deliberately set out to make a bad product for the purpose of intriguing gullible people like myself.

"Is this some kind of hoax?"

I'm trying to answer this question myself. This can't be a real film.

It finally opened theatrically this week, so it's a real thing. But you're right: of the 15 user reviews, 12 are by users who registered only to weigh in on this movie and have done nothing since. Many of the reviews repeat the same opinions (the "professional" British narrator, for example) and share the same execrable writing.

Given what it's about, I'd say that some people will believe just about anything. Given the 9.1 rating, I'd say that it's time for an overhaul of the imdb rating system.

I'd hate to take a bite outta you. You're a cookie full of arsenic.
