anyone care to try and explain that ending, lost me

BS just like the entire film, terrible script with annoying characters and a lot of nonsense thrown in.

I knew from the first five minutes how poorly written a film this was going to be, but kept wasting my time any way. 3/10

Yep, I, too, had already figured out the plot, the characters, and how they were linked..

At literally 11mins in I knew who the bio mom would be, who the bio dad would be, and that the box with lace ribbon would be how Jacob was spirited away from the asylum.

Now, as far as the ending that we were given, I won't even pretend to have a clue as to what it means, and why, why, why the writers/creators/directors even chose such a crappy, unsatisfying ending ..

I thought it was awful. A script that went nowhere. Wrong Turn 4 was a million times better than this. This movie was such a waste of good actors. I don't see the point of this pointless script. Who cares that we found out he was the crazy doctor's son? And then he got pulled back in there and was left to die. There was zero point or payoff to this movie.
