She had the looks of Sophie like in the book, but the actress portraying her just absolutely annoyed me. I'm sorry I don't mean to sound horrible about a child actor, but something about her aggravated me.

I was hoping to find a post about this. I really liked the movie, but I could not stand her either. I'm planning on reading the book to see how she was portrayed in it, but I found the girl in the movie to be so annoying, whiny, and a know-it-all, ugh. I don't even think it was the actress, just the character she had to play.
