Have there been any other movies about an Asian artist like this?
I feel this is a very original film, and possible one of the first to use animation to take you deep within the art and life on a great Asian artist. Are there any others?
shareI know of one film called Tatsumi (2011) "A story based on the life and short stories of Yoshihiro Tatsumi, a mangaka known for his gekiga style of alternate Japanese manga. "
I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my watchlist. It seems like it might be similar in that it's about the life of a Japanese artist. I don't know much more than that, and it's a bit of a struggle to find. It's from Singapore and I believe it's not anime style, but it seems pretty unique.
I also thought Miss Hokusai was a wonderful film with beautiful animation!
