PLEASE SPOIL THIS FOR ME!!

I've been reading about this all over, and I can't find a straight answer. All I see are reviews about it bringing people to tears, and I don't want to see this if the doggie dies or gets separated from his human and ends up all alone (ala Futurama's "Jurassic Bark")--I swear, I won't be able to take it. Do either of these happen??

You know, Burke, I don't know which species is worse.

He doesn't die or get separated. It does bring tears, but its because of stuff happening.

It's a happy ending and nothing bad happens to the dog. A must see for every age group. Even kids will enough this little short.

At no point is the dog in danger of dying or being left alone (well, other than at the very very start).

reply

Other than potentially from a heart attack due to over-eating. :D

reply

I thought this was cute.

The dog becomes obese and dies, which isn't shown in the film but is pretty much heavily implied. There is one point in the film where he's given greens, but he pushes aside and goes into deep depression.

reply

I was worried that he may die, especially due to the use of the passage of time, but he doesn't. It's really a very happy short. It will make you cry a lot though, and it is hard to place exactly why.

And people who don't like it probably don't like dogs.

To clarify for those that still haven't seen it, the dog is kind of a red herring, and the character sterotypes used are probably not healthy for any modern civilized child.
