Abuse

I have a problem with the way the show addresses potentially abusive relationships. The way Storm speaks to Karen is unacceptable. This same thing applies to past couples on this show, such as Toya and Memphitz and Brittish and Lorenzo. It seems that the creators of this show encourage couples to "talk it out" or "own their role in the drama." If these couples were merely dealing with issues, that would be understandable. But Storm actually threatens Karen and Brittish actually hit Lorenzo. Not sure if I can support a show where abuse is condoned.

At first, when you mentioned Lorenzo, I was like wait he was one of the mellow ones. Then, I remember British throwing something at him. I agree about the yelling, but there are a lot of couples like that.

Personally, I'm surprised Karen is backing down from Storm, because she sure wasn't doing that on Mob Wives.

reply

I agree. Especially with Storm and Karen. The way he talks to her on a regular basis is ridiculous

I think both Storm and Jim, from the Jim/Amber couple, have severe abusive tendencies. Jim has every bad short guy stereotype quality and Storm makes it so obvious he doesn't really care much about her. Why is she with him?

reply

They were on Jersey Housewives and Jim got in a fight with pretty much everyone on there, he was the least liked person his season. I'm not surprised to see he treats his wife that way.

reply

Full on abuse, no question about that. The fact they haven't addressed it is repulsive to me. Just awful.

This fool has no control! Storm's in a public setting and can't keep from being abusive and profane! How in the world does he get away with this? I know I'd walk away for good! It can't be anything new! He's very comfortable acting out like that! What a creep! 
