What type of Jam did the wife request?

Hi - my friends and I do an Oscar party where we make dishes inspired by the movie. I picked Bridge of Spies and I want to do a cookie with the type of jam that Donovan's wife requested from his "London trip". Can anyone tell me what that was? Thanks!

It is Marmalade. The flavor in never mentioned but it looked like orange to me.

I thought P.E.T.A. meant People Eating Tasty Animals

Well, orange marmalade.

She wanted it purchased from some store off Regents Park in London, but he got it in Manhattan, so .....

The jar read Hamilton's JS Marmalade, extra coarse cut.

I may be wrong but I don't think Hamilton's is an actual brand?

Thanks everyone!!

Ironically, these days there is an excellent shop for marmelade and similar right at the site of the former Berlin Wall, near the Brandenburger Tor. Excellent stuff that I can never find anywhere else, even though we have German import stores around here. Hanks should have just gone there. ;)

California made marmalade is so sweet your teeth will fall out. Try the English type orange marmalade made from Spanish Seville oranges. Its tart and has more flavor. I have also had marmalade made from lemons. Get Dundee brand from Scotland or Robertson's from England. Try Amazon if stores near you don't have it.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Agreed the Dundee marmalade from Scotland is very tasty.

Ah yes, check out Leysieffer's for anyone who happens to be in the neighborhood.
