I Am So Glad I Saw This

Now this is how you make an entertainment. The writing is genius, offering up equal doses of suspense, genuine emotion, intense violence, and chilling dialogue. The film is full of twists and turns but not once does it feel calculated or forced.

The director was wise to take his time building up the film - a generic American director would’ve ignored character development and tense, quiet moments in lieu of gratuitous violence, MTV-style editing and cheap dialogue. I can’t remember the last time I was so wrapped up in a story.

I still haven’t gotten to the acting, the dark humor, how every supporting character is richly layered and believable without requiring exposition of any kind. This film is simply great, there’s really no other word for it.
