Robert Kenner talks about film's origins, what surprised him

The "Food Inc." director discusses how his last film led to his latest, why he turned to magic to help explain how such deception works, and how he hopes “Merchants of Doubt” might shift the conversation in a direction away from the spin of his subjects.

He presents the conspiracy theory that anyone skeptical of Green religion is anti-science and paid by Big oil/coal/agri/pharma. They present no evidence because it's grass-roots skepticism, unlike the billion dollar Greenpeas/WWF/EDF/FoE/etc multinationals.

He also mentions Al Gore and his discredited movie. Wonder why he's nobody now?

Why should anyone bother? If you can't smell it, you're probably not going to listen anyway. There's plenty of evidence for anyone's bogon flux capacitor to peg out at max with something like this.

I'm not claiming what it says is entirely untrue... that there's NO spin work done.

Just that the amount of money that is available for -- and used by -- the Green Movement to SPIN things whatever way suits them is VASTLY greater. The amount of money available for "spinning" by the various "big" corporations is not trivial... but it is DWARFED by the metric ƑÜČĶton** of SPIN funding available to Green corporations, who can spend every ONE of the trillions of dollars available to them -- unlike the various companies this snake-oil job is complaining about, which are limited by having to create a product, sell it at a profit, and then give MOST of those profits back to investors.

It's not a matter of "is there spin going on". It's a matter of "who's spinning the most?"

agree on that front. but there are problem other then technology with GMO and like farmer can't save their seeds(which for poor farmer in Asia and Africa is a must), patented genes, in US its mostly used with corn so no actual benefit comes etc.

PS= which green corps are benefiting from GMO fear mongering.

PPS= if you want to reply plz be civilized. ok.
