They are merely preaching to the choir. ...And the choir must be pretty small.

Hmmm. And how many deniers will pay to see a film they know would challenge a view that was formed by listening to people who are out to make sure they think even CONSIDERING the science is a betrayal of their "freedom."

If you consider the science instead of politicians you could not possibly buy into the premise of this movie.

"Deniers" are the only side looking at the science.

You avoid the requirements of full disclosure when you fail to point out that Heartland is one of the industry front organizations listed in Merchants of Doubt. No wonder they're pissed.

You know the scientific community and the majority of Americans believe in global warming, right? This movie simply explains why the others think like they do. It's actually a pretty genius garbage campaign brought to you by the same guys who created the "cigarettes aren't bad" campaign.

If you WATCHED the documentary, the main point is not to preach about "climate apocalypse", but the way corporations use money to get a lot of people to believe what they're often already inclined to believe (there is no man-made global warming, smoking is harmless) REGARDLESS of what is true. You don't even NEED to believe in "climate apocalypse" to be concerned about THIS issue.

Second, how many documentaries clean-up at the box office? I can't think of one conservative documentary that ever has, while Michael Moore documentaries which I genuinely do consider to be biased liberal bullsh*t do relatively well. Does this make conservatives wrong and Michael Moore right?
