

Well, considering that the Oscars are about MOVIES, not fashion, so I say it's entirely justified. She didn't have a movie career really. She was a comedian and TV personality.

Perhaps the Emmy show is more suited for Joan. She did right and direct a fairly good tv movie called The Girl Most Likely Too in 73 and has numerous tv writing credits.

Exactly. She's a TV star and the Emmys are for TV.

Well Michael Jackson was certainly not known for his movie career yet he was on incidentaly the same year that they left off Farrah Fawcett - who although not a Big movie career she had more of one that MJ

Yeah, I didn't agree with Jackson being included that year either and was fine with Fawcett being left out.

Joan Rivers was a douche bag who got off/made money on criticising and making fun of that crowd. Why would they want her up there.
