Are Frank Grillo and Joanna Going vampires?

I was watching season 1 of this and got curious how old the father and mother of Jay was in this, cause Jay (Jonathan Tucker) looks almost like the same age as both Alvey and Christina his mother and father.

And Frank Grillo (Alvey) is 55, and Joanna Going (Christina) is 57, and i was just like holy shit how are these two in their 50's? Both of them look late 30's at most to me. Which is why i thought Jay (Jonathan Tucker) looked so close to them in age cause Jonathan Tucker is 38.
