I'm new to the show so I don't know if this has been discussed before but Nick Jonas doesn't seem to fit in. His acting is surprisingly good but his body is garbage and he is always sucking in his gut. I am a chubby man myself so I'm not saying it's bad it's just that his body type doesn't fit in with the rest of the cast.
shareHe's not anywhere as ripped as Tucker or as slim/tight as Laura, but his body is fine. He's actually kind of smaller than when he was younger. Back then, I remember all those candid pics of him at the beach or at the baseball field, and everyone was going crazy over his bubble butt. Now he's trimmed down and that booty is gone. His body seems more suited for baseball or even football/soccer than MMA. The random trainers at the gym seem to have similar bodies, though. Alvey has strongly hinted that MMA might not be for Nate.
shareYou might be right. I'm just looking at the other main characters and that may not be fair. But even his character doesn't work as hard as the other to meet weight.
shareNate is not built for or meant to be a fighter. Personally, i don't think he even likes fighting. even Alvey thinks so, so does Lisa. I think he is just doing it coz his dad and brother r fighters and he grew up in that testosterone-addled atmosphere, and wants to PROVE himself to everyone bcoz of his sexuality. like, when - or if - he comes out, they shouldn't say that he can't fight/is lesser than them coz he is gay.

I've pretty much said his body is terrible compared to the rest of the cast before. Jonathan Tucker is a *beep* beast in this.
shareHave you seen what most MMA fighters look like in real life? Nate and Mac are the most realistic portrayals of what fighters generally look like in their respective weight classes. Most of them are not as cut as Ryan and Jay.
