Who do you consider the best actor on this show?

I started watching this show solely because of Grillo and Tucker. I think Tucker is by far the best actor and the must watch reason for this show. He is electrifying whenever he is on screen. He does more with his eyes then most actors do with pages of dialogue.

Tucker for sure, he's always been one to watch for me since that 'Deep End' movie about 15 years back and he's really getting time to shine in Kingdom and killing it. If anyone ever wins an Emmy for acting on this show, if the Emmy's acknowledge it exists that is, it'll most likely be him. His cast mates are no slouches either which makes him standing out more impressive.

I like Grillo. Seems like this role suits him to a tee. So genuine. Believable. A lot of layers to Alvey Kulina.

Everyone is great though. Tucker is a stand out for sure.

Alvey is a combination of Frank Campana from Warrior and Rumlow.

Matt Lauria for me, hands down. His is the tough role. Tucker has the more gregarious, crazy role and in a way, so does Grillo. Lauria's character is a reserved dude and he has to underplay everything and he does a smacking heckuva job. He's my favorite. By far.

The guy who plays Jay, Tucker is hands down the best. The dude acts circles around the entire cast. Joanna (Christina) is close second. I know they are mother/son but they have amazing chemistry, and half the time I wish they would just *beep* each other (I have issues, lol).

I love Grillo, but it feels like he is sleep-walking his way through the script.

Nick Jonas has his moments, but I'm glad his role is basically the strong, silent type. The dude really can't act.

Tucker and Grillo without a doubt for me.

BTW, I didn't know it was season ending episode!

most all the cast are great the mother and nate are weaker not much range

Tucker and it's not even close but I am so impressed with Grillo in this. I already liked him but this show made me really respect him as an actor. I say Tucker and Walton Goggins are two of the finest actors working today.

For me to determine the best, criteria has to be laid out:

- Who delivers their lines
- Who conveys the emotions
- Who follows direction
- Who does the audience believe

Since I'm not on set, I can only answer the fourth question = All of them
except the character Lisa. And Ryan leaves me with questions.

I don't understand these characters nor do I get why they're there. The problem with the Lisa character is, I don't care. I don't sympathize, empathize nor do I want to get to know her any better. I enjoy the show more the less she's on screen. Is she what the writers and directors intended? Because I don't have these answers, I can't comment on Kiele Sanchez's acting.

However my feelings regarding the Ryan character are the converse. I do want his history and want to understand his psyche. I enjoy his machinations. Like Johnathan Tucker and Paul Walter Hauser, Matt Lauria entertains me. Still, I don't know if Matt is accurately portraying the character in the script but the character he does put forth intrigues me. And since I watch Ryan most intently, for me, Matt's the one to watch.

I think Tucker is the obvious choice and that is because his character is standout and Tucker plays him expertly. I totally agree with what you said about his eyes. That scene where the journalist is asking about his mom and Jay's telling him to leave it alone. Just look at his eyes everyone! I was like oh wow!

I do think all the actors are amazing though and that's what makes the show so brilliant and realistic. I don't think Nick gets enough credit. That scene after Nate was raped and when he's telling his mom he won't lose his brother to her confirmed to me that Nick can act. He's a repressed gay guy in a very macho environment. Strong and silent I think is realistic.

Grillo actually looks like a drunk on the brink. I started to worry about the actors health.

I appreciate Matt Lauria more and more. That scene with his Dad brought tears to my eyes.
