The Most Creative Movie

I still don't get the hate for this movie. This movie had a lot of creativity behind it. This movie didn't have to be neat like high budget movies the setting of the movie was junkyard trash creative art which that's what I find refreshing. I'm a artist myself and this movie have a lot of art even the killing slices so much graphic gore art that was done by Skeletron (Edwin Wright) and The Kid (Munro Chambers) characters was interesting art slices. This movie have a mixture of art some colorful, dark, sci-fi and fantasy coming from Apple; it's more than that like (the damage robot graveyard scene) so dark and deep how it's laid out. The love story between the character Apple and The Kid was weird in a unique way like "Edward Scissorhands" or "Corpse Bride" but a different approach so poetic with art around it, a gothic Gore killing romance fantasy; I like how Apple and Kid friendship was built so silly and creative in many ways, now that's art. These three new filmmakers had a lot of creative ideas of their own and I don't mind filmmaker starting off small this movie is their first start.I know a lot of filmmakers start making low budget movies and later find success I hope this movie find success in the future because I enjoy every moment of it.

What makes this movie special on it's own is Turbo Kid have great memorable characters The Kid, Apple,Frederic and Skeletron all fun built characters that stick with you. I also love the details in the characters costumes designing Apple, The Kid and Skeletron so creative and original. I was so impress what they did with Skeletron costume designing the iron skull mask and the object on his hand razor blades was something different design for a character. I also love both of The Kid and Apple first and second wardrobe costume design changes in the movie so original and creative. And love each of the characters personality and chemistry in the movie both Munro Chambers and Laurence leboeuf did a good job portraying their characters. I love how quirky and silly their friendship was in the movie like a Looney tune characters or any silly cartoon chase show. This movie was so much fun and creative the characters was fun too. It's sad because after anyone watch this movie you won't get that connection watching fun entertaining characters in another movie. The more movies I watch;I keep thinking to myself Turbo Kid was a whole lot different and original. Turbo Kid really separated itself from all the high budget movies with no ounce of creative characters or art behind it. And I want people to think about this and watch other films and tell me it's not different because you would be lying to yourself refusing to actually love this film because it's low budget and using excuse to hate it because it not Hollywood enough for you and don't have high paid big name actors, actress and directors. They deserve the attention now people is the time because some directors have creative ideas it's their turn. These high paid movie stars already had their shot to stardom success. It's the freshman turn to find theirs and I'm willing to support them more because they need it more then the already rich and famous. Just watch this video what Michael Ironside said of hoping these new filmmakers find success https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWDFXUthxUk and then watch Laurence Leboeuf interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBV-jfnfxKM these people have my support and I would love to see more of their ideas.

I just find it funny people keep asking for originality and creative ideas well this is that movie it's simple fun Art but instead people turn the other way. I just wish people stop comparing it to other movies like Mad Max and a copy of different 80s movies it's not Turbo Kid have it's own originality just like those movies. These directors managed to create made up characters like The Kid, Apple and Skeletron and give them their own original costume designing for each character. Just like people grow to love characters like from other classic movies. I also see a lot fans of the movie dressing as Apple, The Kid and Skeletron as cosplay or Halloween costume. That prove how inspiring this movie really is to others and me it hit all the right spots in my opinion.

It hits a lot of right notes for a lot of the indie/horror loving community. Apple especially is the dream girl for a lot of those watchers (I find her pretty lazily written and too much of a manic pixie dream girl stereotype), so she alone gives the movie a pass for many viewers.

Outside of that demographic it gets a bit less love, probably because people expect more. I think it's because fans of those genres are more forgiving when it comes to production value, acting, effects, etc too. This is clearly done on the cheap, and is a lot of fun, but isn't the classic definition of a well written or award worthy movie.

You do have point this movie isn't well written especially with Turbo Kid character about his parents being killed I wish they wrote a different storyline for him instead of his parents died give his character a different backstory and I hated the flashback. I disagree with Apple character I like her background story I hope we find out more like what year she was made. You right she is a little wild and annoying I was happy she toned it down halfway throughout the movie but I like her character.

The movie pays homage to the 80s and tells a fun apocalyptic story whike doing it, however people who aren't a fan of cheesy 80s action or kids movies will be lost in what it's all supposed to mean. Buy it wasn't meant for them.
