One of the best animations of all time!!

Or am I exaggerating?

No, real... this flick is wonderful and expressive. I feel like this is why movies (or any form of art) are made for. To deliver visceral and true emotions, to make us re-think our existence and the essence of being alive.

If I am overrating this too much, please, convince me to get down to earth. You may try...

That it is not. I liked it, but it's not quite great. The problem with it is that the plot has trouble holding up a bit. I wasn't expecting a plot-filled film as it is supposed to be very simple, and I'm not going to criticize it for being simple. In fact, the film's simplicity works to its benefit if you ask me, given that it draws attention to just how beautiful the animation and score are. It's a quality film, but Kubo and the Two Strings deserves the Best Animated Feature Oscar. That is a true masterpiece. As far as this one goes, I rate it a 7/10 which is good in its own right.

Nice words bro. You brought a well sustained point of view.

IMO, the plot is not that troubled because it is always defying itself adding new artifacts and questions to the protagonist's ark. And it happens in a natural, well paced way, like an existencialist essay. It's like the magic of art is doing all of the hardwork here.

On the other side, Kubo is one hell of an adventure, with great score and character development too, but I think that it has one flawed plot as it starts to get an episodic shape within the rushed resolution.

Thanks for your statement, anyway! :)
