The Kids' Accents
Did it come from watching too much Sean Connery movies over and over again? And why do only some of them have it and 2 or 3 of them sound "normal"? You would think that they'd all have their father's Texas accent.
shareAt one time they mentioned the reason for this April, I think it was in the original introduction. The claim was that this came about due to living in such extreme isolation.
It's kind of a neat show, and I actually like it, but I wouldn't take it very seriously as far as being realistic. There's a lot of information out there that you can easily find on this family, and how they really live.
They've said a few times that they would watch The Hunt For Red October countless times. I guess they wanted to emulate Connery lol.

That's right, I remember that episode. Gabe mentioned that it was common practice to trade DVD's back and forth between other bush people, and that they watched many of them over and over. He's the one that did the decent Sean Connery impression. Though when he went into that store and tried out his Sean Connery impression, the guy's working in there told him that he sucked 😀
