All the children have "Stockholders syndrome" but one was able to escape

The best explanation that I can come up regarding Bam with is a woman came into the picture. Most of us realize that 99% of what we see is fake but this thing with Bam is probably real. Before the TV show he didn't have much of an opportunity to meet women, I think that the men in Alaska outnumber women by 10 to 1. The show gave Bam the opportunity to meet a normal woman that was part of the crew, and it is apparent he is the most normal one in the wolf pack. If you pay close attention he never participates in the howling and he stands off to the side while the rest of the family howls. He looks uncomfortable and embarrassed when the group does it.

If this is real and not part of the scripted story I am happy to see him get a new start and a chance to lead a normal life while he is still young enough to begin a new life

PS I know it is really "Stockholm syndrome"

Not sure what's going to come of this. I doubt that Bam is giving up on the show altogether, although if any one of them were to do it, he would be my guess. We may see him in two episodes with his new bride, and this is just a way of writing his woman into the picture. Remember he was building that log cabin off in the woods.

I thought there was some tension in that scene where Bam was telling his parents he was leaving. Bam seemed to be almost smirking, while Billy seemed irritated that one of his offspring might actually show some independent thought. Ami seemed to be trying to guilt him into staying. I'm sure they all knew the score before it was filmed, but still.

rmontro I was thinking the same thing as you were. I believe 99.9% of what we see is fake but I would be willing to bet this is real. His mother and father have been brain washing the kids since they were born, I have no doubt they al have "Stockholders syndrome" "Stockholm syndrome". With no education (except for home schooling we saw with the mother teaching her daughter with sticks and stones, (I can't believe they never heard of paper and pencil in the bush) and no job skills none of them had a chance to escape. I think that they kept them out of school because the kids would be easier to control. Along comes a TV show, Bam has enough money to finance his escape, add that to the fact that one of the woman that is part of the TV crew is attracted to him and we get what is called the perfect storm.
