Walken cant sing
its just awful. one of those situations that actors see *beep* and pretend to be in presence of a god.
awful. Why not any other actor?

Neither can Heard.
shareI think Chris USED to sing? Anyone know? I think he used to be able to sing quite well. But yah, I thought his singing wasn't quite so good in this. But - he's supposed to play and old has-been singer. Maybe it's ok he wasn't so good?

old has-beens can sing. really. even at the age of 70-80.
shareWalken initially trained as a dancer in music theatre at the Washington Dance Studio before moving on to dramatic roles in theatre and then film. He's sung in the past but Broadway style singing.

Some can. Maybe they sang all their lives? Has CW? And the point was likely that his voice was gone, like the rest of him.
I used to be a singer. Sometimes I'll belt something out, and think 'yeah, I still have it!' But I'm nearing 70. No way am I recording myself, to listen with a critical ear. The dogs don't seem to mind...
And some old guys still have huge followings. The Stones, Leonard Cohen, Tony Bennett, McCartney, Bowie... Personally, I'd rather listen to their early albums. When their voices were strong, and their lyrics vital. But that's just me. I'm glad they (the living) are still out there. I'm not paying $100 or more to see them. I like the Stones, but I'm not sure I'd walk across the street to see them. I don't find old rockers an attractive sight. And I don't like crowds.
