Pets in lifetime movies

Not toast...roast.

Pretty much anytime a pet is in these types of movies they are killed. Drives me nuts. :/ god forbid they knock off a kid instead.

This is a movie/TV tradition from long ago! LMN just jumped on the bandwagon. Remember the boiled bunny! Before that, animal deaths include the adorable dog in "Race with the Devil". Then, there's the canary's fate in "Cat People" (1942).

A list of pet fatalities would be a lengthy one!

I feared for those lovely birds as soon as I saw them too. I've got some sky blue budgies like those pair.
