I want to say The Red Tent, but I don't want to make a final decision until this one ends. But ultimately I don't feel as bad for the protagonists in this as I did in The Red Tent.

The Red Tent hands down I only made it through 30 minutes of The Dovekeepers.
shareI liked the Red Tent more. There was more of a family aspect to it and a lot less of a blood bath.
Honestly, I would have re-written The Dove Keepers, excluding some of the main characters, like Cote Pablo's character actual husband, her son, etc. and just wrote "based on the story "The DoveKeepers". That way, it would have been a one-night show. Furthermore, I would have liked the blonde servant to make it with the red head, but I am sure that he would have been killed by the Roman soldiers.
