I can't even really express how impressed I am. I can't believe I put off watching it for so long! I especially loved the scenes with the 4 girls in the hotel rooms--both scenes were so subtle and profound. Brilliant work. This one's going in my all-time favorites.
shareTotally agree with you. What a magnificent piece of work. Despite the rather grim events depicted, I found it truly joyful and life affirming.
The best scenes are those in which the friends are just having fun together. So natural, beautifully shot and superbly acted (from a cast on inexperienced actors!).
The dancing in the hotel room scene is just wonderful beyond words.
I can strongly recommend one of Sciamma's other movies "Water Lillies" too.
