How I thought it was going to end

The Young Pope continues to divide and alienate the church with his rigid policies. He crushes all his opposition and punishes every coup, so as to seem undefeatable. That is, until one day, while walking through the gardens, he is kicked to death by his pet kangaroo. The religious view it as divine intervention, while the secular believe his hubris had finally caught up with him.

The way the series is going, it's either going to be an absurd end or life just continues.

Like he trips and breaks his neck.

Or nothing happens and life just keep moving.

I've seen the actual ending, and it is pretty terrible. The series really goes downhill about halfway through.

reply

Terrible because the last episodes are moving , heartwarming, spiritual and deep ??
Last 4 episodes are great , they carry the serie to another level. They make you think, they make you shed a tear , they make you smile like when watching something totally rewarding ....

Guarantee? Money back?

Yessss

He just becomes a conventional pope. Then there's the crap with the alcoholic priest in New York tracking down the pedophile priest. The writing during these parts drops so dramatically, I couldn't believe I was still watching an HBO show. It seemed like some Lifetime made-for-TV movie.

The whole thing was just awful. I thought the first 3-4 episodes were much more interesting.

Even the quality of the film got worse. It was bizarre.

AGREE 100%!!!

reply

that isn't the ending, just the ending of the first act,
season 2 is already months into production,
why do you want lenny to die so fast? give him some time to evolve and mature

reply

That would have been a funny end that would be karma. Everyone considered Lenny divine for being able to control the kangaroo, but if this "God's creature" suddenly attacked him it just comes to show that God has a sick sense of humour.
