Because of Alfred Molina, I started watching . . .

He is easily one of the best actors on the planet. If Matador focused on the shenanigans of Molina's character it would be far better. But it looks as if the producers are forcing the show into areas to make it 'edgy' - lots of profanity, a sex scene in the locker room, etc. The DEA/CIA/soccer star is wooden an uninteresting, the CIA dude is a complete caricature, the CIA woman is beautiful (of course) but confused - and only Molina has the acting chops to keep you watching.

They should really consider retooling this show. The cussing is needless, most of the cast are dull and the DEA/CIA/soccer star comes off as stupid and unprepared.

You should consider getting lost since the show is perfect the way it is. From the incredibly gorgeous women, soccer play, intrigue, comedy, family life, action to the immensely likable cast (primarily the main protagonist ). This show does not need to change anything except judgemental non fans like you. Mad Men with its incredibly boring plot lines is waiting just for you,

Keep watching if you haven't. It gradually becomes more worthy of Molina as it goes along.
