shareExactly. And the kind of people that take that money deserve to be right where they are, in prison for 25. Was it entrapment? Yes. Did they have every intention of detonating a bomb and killing people? Yes. They are where they deserve to be. Too bad they didn't get life, WITHOUT parole.

Did they have every intention of detonating a bomb and killing people? Yes.Some footage seems to show otherwise. Particularly the plan on using Stinger missiles to shoot down United States military cargo planes; their conversation specifically discusses that they're going to destroy property, not kill anyone (even taking into consideration that someone might be working on one of the aircrafts).
But I understand your point that it's of course concerning that anyone (no matter how desperate) agrees to something like this. But I think the main focus should be the shadiness in the FBI informant, and the fact that resources were being distracted from actual radicals (as discussed near the end of the film).
